The Battle Of Manchester

Manchester Magic vs Manchester Giants


Game One: at the PowerLeague Arena Trafford (M17 8DD), Sunday 16th September, at 5pm.
Game Two: at the Manchester Basketball Centre (M16 8GW), Tuesday 18th September, at 8pm.

Ticket prices (for both games) will be Adult: £5, Children & Concessions: £2.50, Family (2 adults & 3 children): £12.50.

Magic To Face USA Select In Pre-Season Friendly

The Manchester Magic will welcome once against the USA Select team to the Manchester Basketball Centre on Tuesday 11th September, tip-off at 8:00pm, as part of preparations for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Ticket prices (for both games) will be Adult: £5, Children & Concessions: £2.50, Family (2 adults & 3 children): £12.50.

Magic Pre-Season Friendly At Liverpool

Manchester Magic will take on NBL Division 2 side Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 15th September at Archbishop Beck Sports College (L9 7BF), tip-off at 5:00pm, entry is £2 for adults and £1 children.

However, if you go along to the Charity games beforehand, between Liverpool and the North West U13s at 2:00pm (includes a Coaches shoot-out involving Magic’s own Gary Williams) and buy a wristband you can gain entry to the Magic game for just £1.

Magic And Mystics’ Jumble Sale – Items Wanted

The club plans to hold a jumble sale of basketball and other sports clothing and equipment in September.

All money raised will go towards funding the Community and Junior National League programmes.

If you have any items in good condition that you no longer need or your children have outgrown – vests, shorts, t-shirts, etc – please bring them into the office at the Manchester Basketball Centre.

More details about the jumble sale will be announced in due course.

We’re planning on running leagues for men, women and juniors on Wednesday and Sunday nights (8pm-10pm) at the Manchester Basketball Centre. Fancy Joining Our Community Leagues?

We’re looking for teams to join our Monday night Adult leagues and Friday night leagues.

Our Monday adult leagues, which restart in September after the summer break. It costs just £24 per team per game and you’ll be playing at the fantastic Manchester Basketball Centre in Whalley Range. If you’d like to enter a team or want to know more, contact league organiser Jane Thomas-Johnson on 07968 077138.

We’re looking for junior teams – boys and girls – to join our Friday Night Leagues at the Manchester Basketball Centre.

We are running 4 leagues in total: A Foundation League for mixed abilities (Approximate age range: 8-12). A Development League; (Age range: 9-13); A Premier League for players just below National League standard (Age range: 12-15); and a College League (Age range: 14-17).

Community Sessions

Manchester Magic and Mystics in the Community Sessions are now on a break for the summer holidays, enjoy the break, we hope to see you all back with us in September.

Sessions that will continue:
8:30 – 9:30pm Adult-only session for Men and Women who want to learn how to play basketball –  £2.50

8:00 – 9:00pm Skills Lab Session Age 11-15 (Open to Age 9-17) Boys & Girls – £2.50

Tuesday and Wednesday night sessions will continue as long as you keep attending them.
